In 2001, Matt moved to the Eastern Shore after attending Penn State University. Looking to begin a career, he completed an apprenticeship in carpet installation and floor care. As he developed his carpet installation skills, he soon began receiving calls for his services and for advice on flooring. It wasn't long after that; in 2003, he launched his first business, "Keenwick Carpet."
Matt prides himself on being an honest businessman, and as his reputation grew, he personalized his business name to "Matt The Carpet Guy." Hiring staff with the same desire, work ethic, and attention to detail was mandatory. His staff is well-trained and dedicated to getting the job done right the first time!

Matt the Carpet Guy has offered a "mobile showroom" for over seventeen years. Simply put, we can bring samples to you! We realize browsing too many options in large commercial retail can be overwhelming. After speaking with our customers and listening closely to their flooring preferences, we carefully select a few samples that best match their interests. With so many options, we strive to offer a selection that allows for same-day choices.
As we continue to offer this service, our customers can now visit our main carpet and flooring showroom in Selbyville, DE, and our new carpet and flooring showroom in Salisbury, MD. At our showrooms, we offer a variety of showcases to meet your flooring needs. And don't worry about knowing the many styles or choices; we pledge to walk our customers through the entire process.
